How often do you get to marry your best friend?? Ok now ~ how often do you get to do it TWICE??? Annnddd in the same year?!?! Well that’s exactly what Ashley and Ben did!
When COVID started rocking the wedding industry, forcing 2020 couples to make hard decisions Ashley and Ben, decided to keep their original date of April 18th for their Cape Charles wedding. With just family in attendance they were officially married!! Now, fast forward a few months, these two celebrated again with a full blown vow renewal including all of their friends and family! It was a gorgeous October afternoon and well worth the wait.
The ceremony and reception took place at Mimosa Barn in Cape Charles Virginia. In true fall fashion, Ashley embraced the season, using beautiful white and gold pumpkins paired with rustic decor. It was my first time at this location and y’all it seriously could not have been more beautiful!! The scenery was just amazing! Ashley and Ben’s friends and family worked extremely hard to make it all look simply perfect.
A few of my favorite moments from the day included their sweet pup being included in the pre-ceremony photos AND ceremony. She was just the sweetest girl!! If you’re on the fence of including your dog … I say just go for it 😉
But one of my all time favorite parts of the day was just witnessing the joy between Ashley and Ben. They’re two awesome people who I have worked with now since March of 2019 when we first started planning out this wedding. From our first coffee date, to their engagement session, to their April wedding, and now this. Thankful to know them and to have been able to capture BOTH their special days. Congrats *again*!! 🙂
