A beautiful wedding overlooking the James River was exactly what Hope and Macon envisioned for their wedding day. Last Saturday, they got that …. and so much MORE!!! What started out as cold and overcast, turned into one of the most beautiful fall afternoons, perfect for an outdoor wedding in Williamsburg.
When I first met Hope and Macon around this time last year they were both so excited for their wedding day and being able to enjoy that time together with family and friends. When the day arrived – they were just as excited!! You can instantly tell how loved these two are by all those whom close to them.
Their personal connection to the venue, Two Rivers Country Club, was very sentimental as well. Macon’s dad has been a member of this club for years and they have many memories of playing golf there.
Some of my favorite parts of the day include their “wedding party”. They had their best friends and family as “part of their day” rather than as the wedding party. Hope and Macon stood front and center of the ceremony while their loved ones looked on from the crowd rather than by their side. This made the whole experience seem so intimate and I loved the idea!! Also the mix matched color scheme in the girls dresses paired with those beautiful fall florals…. *muahhh* literal chef’s kiss!!! Sooo picturesque 😉
The reception was also full of personal details and events. Each table had, written notes from the couple to all the guests. So thoughtful!! A few other things I really loved was, the brides sister and brother in law performed the song for the first dance and the bride’s father is legit a low key comedian who had everyone laughing during his speech.
Hope and Macon thank you so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful, most perfect day! Between the amazing afternoon, paired with the best sunset and full moon, it truly could not have been better!! Wish you both nothing but the best as you continue this journey of life together.
xoxo,
Emily
