An elopement on the beach with their kids is exactly what Danielle and Russ envisioned when they got engaged earlier this year. They knew they wanted to keep it simple and focus on their love for one another. The day could not have been more beautiful and I CAN’T WAIT for y’all to see just a glimpse of their day.
Danielle and Russ were engaged on June 4th near the beach at Pleasure House Point. Russ included their kids and Danielle’s best friend to help surprise her even more!! Together they love kayaking, hiking, nature walks, trying out new foods and traveling. Almost two months later and it’s their wedding day!
Once the wedding day came, there was some inconsistent weather. The forecast for Virginia Beach called for a little rain before the ceremony time but looked good for sunset (during the ceremony and after). However, of course it couldn’t be that easy. The clouds rolled in, lookin super scary!! Thunder, lighting, winds, you name it!! It was crazy! Danielle and Russ were troopers through it all though, staying as calm as ever. She decided to push back the start time a little bit hoping we could wait out the storm. Sure enough the rain passed and gave us the most BEAUTIFUL weather!
What could have been a disaster turned it the biggest blessing. The storm cleared the beach of people and made for a beautiful ceremony background. Danielle and Russ vowed to love one another until forever and had their lovely children there to support them. It was truly the best night!!
Thanks so much to Danielle and Russ for allowing me to capture their special moment. It was simply perfect and I loved all the details. Danielle made everything!! The bouquet, ring dish, you name it! Keep that scroll to get a glimpse into their beautiful wedding.
xoxo,
Emily
