The beginning of a senior year is such an exciting time!! Heading into the school year knowing that it will be full of so many “lasts” and trying to cherish everything that high school has to offer before you begin a new chapter in your story.
This girl right here is no stranger to my camera. I’ve photographed her a few times and even had the chance to do her brother’s senior portraits last year. Nothing is better than having clients who continue to return time and time again, allowing me to document such special times in their lives!!
Madison picked the beautiful Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield Virginia as her senior session location. This park is one of those places where you can stand just about anywhere and be in an epic spot to shoot. We actually had to reschedule our original session date due to rain so we picked a day with no chance of rain and rolled with it. About 30 minutes into our session wouldn’t you know it ~ RAIN! But, that didn’t stop us!! I quickly told Madison to “do something fun and crazy” in case we had to cut our session short. Hence the standing on the edge of the dock HA!!
Thankfully after waiting it out or a bit under a big tree, the rain stopped and we had a little bit of time for an outfit change while the dark clouds continued to roll in. I’m soooo thankful we were able to finish our time together because Madison was beautiful and rocked her session! I love how she stayed true to herself the entire time and didn’t let the weather bring her down!
