Hey yall!!! Want to know a secret?? One of the things I’m learning quickly (and love) about my journey capturing weddings is how truly unique they are.  Some are more traditional, some modern, some last all day, some a couple of hours and the best part is – THAT’S OK!!

If you hear anything from me right now let it be that your wedding day is YOUR special day.  Plan it so that it is the most memorable one for you and your spouse.  Fill it with all the things y’all love, and don’t stress about whether you are following the norm or whats currently on trend.

That’s exactly what Jose and Ana did.  Jose reached out to me about photographing his and Ana’s wedding about a week before the ceremony and I’m sooooo glad he did!  They planned out the most beautiful, intimate wedding in Suffolk surrounded by their closest family and friends AND even live streamed the ceremony so Ana’s family in Columbia could witness the nuptials. Throughout the entire ceremony Jose continually looked at Ana with this awestruck love that just melted my heart. You could truly tell how much they loved and enjoyed one another.

Some of my favorite parts about their wedding was how they incorporated their individual backgrounds into the wedding day with Jose being from Puerto Rico and Ana from Columbia. Photos documenting their love story were showcased throughout the reception area as well as their own country’s flags at their couple’s table. However, one of the coolest aspects was the entire ceremony being translated so that everyone in attendance could truly share in the enjoyment of the love, encouragement, and vows shared between the two.

There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to weddings which is why I want to always want to strive to accommodate couples and their needs. So if your currently in the Hampton Roads (and surrounding areas), are recently engaged, and are planning a 4 hour wedding or a 10 hour wedding – know that it deserves to be documented!! If you’re looking for a photographer to capture this most special day, great!! I’d love to hear all about your own unique love story, over a cup of coffee and see how I can best serve YOU.

Let’s get connected HERE by filling out the contact form and telling me a couple of details about your special day!
