There’s something especially meaningful about photographing the wedding of a couple from your own church family. It makes every moment feel a little more personal, and this wedding was no exception.

These two share a love for the outdoors—from hunting and fishing to spending time together wherever nature takes them. Their wedding reflected who they are: genuine, laid-back, and centered around the people who matter most.

A Historic Middle Swamp Baptist Church Wedding

Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Middle Swamp Baptist Church, a historic church founded in 1806. Walking into a building that has stood for more than two centuries adds such a unique sense of history to a wedding day. The timeless architecture created the perfect backdrop as they exchanged vows surrounded by close family, lifelong friends, and their church community.

One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was watching the excitement on their faces as they finally saw one another. Those quiet smiles and joyful tears are the moments that make wedding photography so rewarding.

Portraits Full of Joy

After the ceremony, we spent time capturing portraits around the church grounds before heading to the reception. Every photo reflected how naturally these two fit together. They spent the entire day laughing, smiling, and soaking in every moment with the people they love.

As a photographer, those authentic interactions always become my favorite images.

A Family Property Reception Under the Tent

The celebration continued at the groom’s family property beneath a beautiful white reception tent. With the open countryside surrounding them, it couldn’t have been a more fitting location for a couple who loves the outdoors.

Guests enjoyed an evening filled with heartfelt conversations, great food, dancing, and plenty of celebration. As the sun began to set, the property provided a gorgeous backdrop for golden-hour portraits before everyone returned to enjoy the rest of the evening together.

It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to these two as they begin this new chapter together! It was such an honor to capture your wedding day and celebrate alongside your family and friends. I pray your marriage is filled with countless adventures, unwavering love, and God’s blessings for many years to come.

Thank you for trusting me to preserve these memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
