August set the stage for Shelby and Derek’s wedding, and what a breathtaking setting it was! They had an intimate afternoon ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. This Harley’s Haven wedding was simply stunning, full of laughter, joyful tears, and so much fun!
The day began with a tender and emotional moment as Shelby shared a first look with her dad. Through the glow of the natural light, Shelby’s father saw his daughter in her stunning wedding gown for the first time. The look of pride and love on his face was truly moving, as they had this sweet moment together.
Before the ceremony, Shelby and Derek shared a quiet “first touch” along the side of the Harley’s Haven wedding venue. This intimate moment allowed them to feel each other’s presence and quietly read their own personal vows, without seeing each other just yet. It was a beautiful way to build anticipation and connection before seeing one another at the end of the aisle.
As Shelby made her way down the aisle, Derek had the reaction every bride dreams of. The moment he saw Shelby in her gown, his eyes welled with tears of happiness. The love and admiration in his gaze were unmistakable, and it was clear that this was a moment he had been dreaming about. The ceremony was unique as the couple shared a “pinky promise” unity. As they linked their pinky’s together they promised to love, support, and be there for one another forever!
Some of my favorite unforgettable moments from the day includes the “flower girl and boy” dancing their way down the aisle tossing petals into the crowd (ya just had to be there!). Also, instead of doing a traditional bouquet toss during the reception, Shelby opted to do a bouquet dedication to her mom. This was such a sweet surprise!
From the heartfelt first touch to the unforgettable ceremony and the lively reception, Shelby and Derek’s Harley’s Haven wedding was simply perfect. Their day was a true reflection of their love and the joy they share with those around them.
Congratulations, Shelby and Derek! May your life together be as beautiful and memorable as your wedding day.
xoxo,
Emily
