The blog post for the 2023 Santa Mini Experience with ECP and East Coast Santa is officially here!!! Yayyy!!! Crazy to think this event has already come and gone and I’m already writing up the blog post but – here we are haha!! Special shout out again to The Pinner House in downtown Suffolk for being our beautiful venue. They so graciously invited us and all our guests in while serving up some of their most delicious coffee **check it out at Cafe Davina if you haven’t already** 😉

Our sixth annual event was full of laughter, giggles, surprises, and more. We had familiar faces and some new friends attend!! However, this year will definitely go down as the most “eventful”. Day one was scheduled from 9-1 on Sunday November 26th. That morning though, my poor household was hit with a gnarly stomach bug ~ including me!! I have never had to cancel a mini session event like this before but there was no way I could go through with it. Unfortunately I had to reschedule.

My sweet clients were so gracious to me and flexible with rescheduling. We ended up moving our day to that Wednesday night beginning around 4 and it was still just as beautiful!! Santa was just the sweetest as well because our reschedule date was actually his birthday!! Also, my hubby filled in as “assistant” for my sister who was back at college. I still cannot thank y’all enough for being so patient with me!! New notes taken for future years – always have a backup photographer on standby in case this happens again lol.

On day 2 we were geared up and ready for a FULL seven hours straight. The morning started off amazing but then, at about the halfway mark I noticed my camera acting wonky. Trying to continue on with pictures next thing I know my lens literally falls off my camera onto the floor!!

Y’all – again… this has never happened to me before!! The lens was now no longer working so I had to resort to my backup lens which is really more so for close up shots. So for those of you who were secretly wondering why I was standing halfway outside for some photos …. that’s why LOL!! Biggest panic attack EVER but we made it work and we’re able to continue on with the day **praise**!

So even through alllllll of those “events” I would still say year six was a success!! 🙂 Santa and I, along with my assistant Addie, thoroughly enjoyed the memories made. Having this opportunity to do this each year is so exciting for us and knowing you all get just as anxious for it is the icing on the cake.

THANK YOU again, for continuing to come out and allow us to share hope, love, and joy through the holiday season. Enjoy scrolling and looking back through some of the highlights of the 2023 Santa Mini Experience. CAN’T WAIT to hopefully see you all again in 2024!!! 🙂
