What better way to commemorate your first anniversary than with portraits at the venue you were “supposed” to get married at??? Kailynn and Caleb brought the HEAT to the Hermitage Museum and Gardens by even getting back into their wedding day attire!
When I first met Kailynn back in March of 2020 I had no idea how awesome of couple they would be. Getting married in the infamous “2020” definitely changed their initial wedding day plans. Their big dreams of having the Norfolk Hermitage Museum and Gardens as their venue unfortunately needed to change ~ BUT they both kept their same optimistic, joyful demeanor. And we still managed to do something fun 😉
On a blistering hot day in August, Kailynn and Caleb met me in Norfolk at the Hermitage and Gardens. Now I’m definitely not one to complain about the heat (summer lover all the way!!!) but this day was like reallyyy hot y’all!! And on top of that there were the biggest, prehistoric sized mosquitoes attacking us. However, these two had their same sweet, joyful, and optimistic personalities. Looking through the photos you’d never know what all we went through ~ and truthfully I almost forgot about how hot it was until recently talking with Kailynn.
Moral of the story, trust your photographer when the elements are not in your favor 😉 there is always still magic that can happen!!! Thankful for our time spent together and the beautiful images we were able to capture! Don’t forget to check out their wedding day blog post HERE.
xoxo,
Emily
