Lot’s of firsts for me with this fall wedding day!! First time travelling to Powhatan in Virginia (which is pronounced Pow-uh-tan not Pow-hat-an for those as confused as I was ~ don’t judge me haha!). And my first time working at the beautiful Fairfield Farm Events venue. An absolutely amazinggg place that was showing off for fall for a deserving couple’s wedding day!
While this may not have been my first, this was my second time capturing a wedding when I had NEVER MET THE COUPLE in person!! Beth Ann and Brett came to be an #ecpcouple through a mutual friend of ours, Sarah Lin.
Sarah was their initial photographer and found out she was going to be having a beautiful baby girl around the same time as their wedding date. Here’s where I come in 🙂 Willing to help the couple with their need for a photographer, we chatted on the phone and instantly connected! I loved hearing their story and how they fell in love along with how he’s a big Steelers fan and she’s a huge Boston fan.
One thing I absolutely love about any wedding is how personal and unique they can be. Some of my favorite “personal details” of the day include how Beth Ann smiled when she got into her dress. She mentioned to me that she’s not much of a “dress” person but when she found her gown she instantly felt beautiful in it!! I mean just look at how amazing she looked!! Also, she wore her Aunt’s tiara that she wore in her own wedding and carried a small bible down the aisle that has been a tradition through generations of this family.
Lastly, about this beautiful fall wedding, I’ll always remember how genuinely happy EVERYONE was!! Brett could not stop smiling anytime he looked at Beth Ann was so heartwarming to witness. Also, hearing everyone so excited and cheering for the couple shows how truly loved Brett and Beth Ann are by their family and friends.
Thankful to have had the privilege of working with such a joyful couple and watching them begin their lives together. I wish them both nothing but the best as they embark on this new adventure in life!! Congrats to the new Mrs. and Mrs. Hubert!!!
