September 4th included unending smiles, joyful laughter, and the most beautiful weather for Michelle and Drew’s rustic, elegant outdoor wedding!! This couple was seriously so much FUN!!! The way they looked at each other all day, giddy and smiling, was one of the best experiences. After being around them you’d instantly feel their genuine love towards each other. Two people who are truly each other’s best friend. Their wedding day was perfectly unique and continued to share their own love story.
The last time I saw Michelle and Drew was at their property in Pungo, VA for a family session. They were so excited to tell me all about their building plans and how they couldn’t wait to have their wedding out there next year. Well ~ fast forward to now. They had to change their wedding date once, building process has been S L O W and only the foundation has been laid, but they chose to continue on with the wedding because THIS is where they dreamed of getting married. Michelle’s sister said it best when she was marrying them. She talked about how it’s amazing how they decided to build the foundation of their marriage at the same place where they’re building the foundation for their family. This location will host many more family memories. Maybe even their own children’s wedding years later.
Ok now let’s chat for a second about how amazingggg the details were. Michelle had her hand in everything and even made the invitations, most of the signs, and orchestrated where every detail was placed. She even made personalized hangers made for each of her bridesmaids A bride with a vision is my kind of bride haha!!! 😉
One of my most favorite memories from this wedding day includes Michelle and Drew’s first look!!! Hands down one of the best reactions I’ve seen so far!! Drew turned around and was completely taken away with how beautiful his bride looked. From that moment on anytime I saw him he was looking at her with an admiration of love. Other favorite moments include how Drew chose his daughter as his best man. Two of the best friends!!! Michelle included all three of her dads in the ceremony with each one taking a turn walking her down the aisle ~ cue the tears! And it can’t go without mention how loved this couple is by their friends and family. Everyone had nothing but kind words of wisdom over their marriage. You can tell this was a tight knit group!!!
Wishing the couple nothing but blessings over their marriage and beyond thankful for the opportunity to capture their marriage. Michelle and Drew were amazing and their wedding day was simply perfect!!! Check out just a glimpse into all the ways this day was uniquely “theirs”.
