I had an absolute blast hanging out with Josh and Lindsay for their session in the Freemason District of downtown Norfolk! These two were all smiles, all laughs, and all kinds of sweet the entire time—basically a photographer’s dream couple.
They kicked things off in coordinating purple outfits that were totally on point. Lindsay rocked a cute floral dress with heels, while Josh kept it classic with a lavender button-up and grey pants. It was clear from the start that these two have great style—and even better chemistry.
We strolled around the cobblestone streets of Freemason District, stopped in front of some dreamy buildings (hello, Norfolk Public Library!), and found the cutest little garden spots along the way. They were naturals in front of the camera—cuddling, laughing, and just being themselves.
Later, Lindsay did a quick outfit change into a flowy white dress, and we wrapped up near Harbor Park with a pop of modern, fun vibes (and that giant fish sculpture, obviously). Every spot we visited meant something to them, and you could totally feel that in the photos.
This is a great example of why we always encourage couples to choose a location that’s meaningful to them. Whether it’s where you had your first date, your favorite part of town to explore, or a place that just feels like you—picking a spot that’s personal makes your photos that much more special. It’s not just about pretty backdrops (though those are a bonus!); it’s about telling your story.
